Burro-Mania!!

One of the attractions around Fat Kid's new digs is Oatman, Az. The town is famous for 2 things:
1. CIarke GabIe and CaroIe Lombard honeymooned there. God onIy knows why:

Yeah totaIIY not us in the pic and it is more diIapidated in reaI Iife

2. WiId burros come down from the mountains to feast upon carrots that tourists have thoughtfuIIy purchased for them.

The Grouper was more excited to find this:

Yeah our Iives are exciting

Joys of the Country

FK and The Grouper were all set to cook up a 10 pound hunk of meat for dinner. That is, until they discovered their shrine to food, the Mecca and Medina of nutrients, the alpha and the omega of nourishment, did not work in their new house...just like practically everything else.

So a-waddling to Golden Corral FK and TG went. While living in the Mountains of the Southwest has been an adjustment, Golden Corral is a whole new ballgame. (Dear Reader, please also consider that earlier in the day T. Grouper and Fat Kid spent several lovely hours at the DMV).
After settling down to plates of oversalted meat, FK and TG decided to take in the ambience of Golden Corral. Highlights of the Kingman Golden Corral included:

12 year old Lolitas (boob grabbing included!)*

Colonel Sanders in the flesh (and in bermuda shorts!)

and last, but not least:

Man wearing wranglers, wifebeater, and his handgun strapped to his back. Because one might be ambushed at the make your own baked potato bar.

All told, this trip to Golden Corral beat out the trip to Walmart where the guy in chaps was spotted...in the men's underwear department.

*God only knows what bizarro government watchdog/kiddie porn sites FK is now linked to bc of this post.

Arizona man stung to death by "killer" bees

Mon Aug 21, 2:31 PM ET

PHOENIX (Reuters) - A swarm of "killer" bees attacked a man and his father as they repaired a roof in a small town in southeast Arizona, killing one man and hospitalizing the other, police said on Monday.

Cochise County Sheriff's Department said the Africanized honey bees stung Charlie Pasley, 39, more than 300 times as he carried out repairs to a home in Huachuca City, 160 miles (250 km) southeast of Phoenix on Sunday. He died at the scene.

Spokeswoman Carol Capas said the swarm also attacked Pasley's father, Chuck, 62, who was reported to be in a stable condition in hospital late on Sunday.

The insects, commonly known as "killer" bees for their highly aggressive behavior, are descended from a ferocious strain that was first introduced to the Americas from Africa in the 1950s in the hope that they would produce more honey.

The bees absconded from research hives in Brazil, slowly spreading through South and Central America. They first crossed into Texas from Mexico in 1990, since when they have attacked and killed dozens of people.

Researchers say the bees developed their highly defensive behavior and furious work rate to deal with voracious predators and short growing seasons in drought-prone areas of Africa.
